MIMS Medical Centre Opens - Expert care now closer to you.
MIMS Medical Centre, an outreach polyclinic by MalabarInstitute of Medical Sciences opened at Eranhipalam, Calicut.
MIMS Medical Centre is another initiative of MIMS to extend
the expert care at quality standards to the society of Calicut. Said by Padmasree Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman MIMS
“MIMS Medical Centre will be helpful for public residing in Calicut town to access
the OP and pharmacy services with flexible timings. Out patient service will be
opened till 8 PM from Monday to Saturday and Pharmacy will be upto 12 am
midnight everyday. Mr. U Basheer, Executive Director, Said. We will be coming
with Sunday OP very soon. This Medical Centre will provide all superspecialty
departments in near future. For the timing, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonology,
Endocrinoloy and Urology will be functioning with other general specialities
like General Medicine, ENT, Gynaecology, etc.
Other facilities include ECG, Laboratory, Walk-in Pharmacy,
Health check, Immunisation. Clinic will function for 11 hours from 9 AM to 8
PM. MIMS Pharmacy will be opened till 12 am midnight.
MIMS Medical Centre was inaugurated on Wednesday 25th
June by Mr. EP Alikutty Haji. Senior Officials and staff participated in the

ജനനവും മരണവും സമയത്തിന്റെ വിലയും - 31/5/2015
ഞാന് ഹംസ അഞ്ചുമുക്കില് അന്നൊരു വൈകുന്നേരം നാലു മണി എന്റെ ഭാര്യ സഫിയ ( വയസ്സ് 41) കുളിക്കാന് ബാത്റൂമില് കയറി തലയില് വെള്ളമോഴിച്ചതും തലയ്ക്കു ആസ്സഹ്യമായ വേദന എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പെട്ടന്ന് പുറത്തു വന്നു പെട്ടന്ന് കോട്ടക്കലെ മിംസ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില് എത്തിച്ചു അതും എമെര്ജന്സി വഴിയിലൂടെ പെട്ടന്ന് ഡോക്ടറെ കണ്ടു കിടത്തി പരിശോദിക്കുന്ന കട്ടിലില് തന്നെ ഇ സി ജി സംവിധാനം ഉള്ളത്കൊണ്ട് അതും നടത്തി സംശയം തോന്നിയ ഡോക്ടര് സ്കാന് ചെയ്യാന് പറഞ്ഞു തല വേദനക്ക് സ്കാന് ചെയ്യല് എന്റെ പണം കൂടുതല് വാങ്ങാന് ആണെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കി ഞാന് സമ്മതിച്ചു ( അതിനു മുന്പേ വേണ്ട സൂചിയും മരുന്നും അവര് നല്കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു ) അല്പം കഴിഞ്ഞു സ്കാന് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് കണ്ട ഡോക്ടര് പറഞ്ഞു ബ്രെയിന് അറ്റാക്ക് സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു തലക്കുള്ളില് തലച്ചോറില് ഒരു രക്ത ക്കുഴല് പൊട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു ഇനിയും പൊട്ടാനിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു കുഴലുകള് വേറെയുമുണ്ട് പേടിക്കെണ്ടേ അതിനുള്ള മരുന്ന് ഞാന് കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട് തലച്ചോറില് രക്തം കട്ടപിടിക്കതിരിക്കാനുള്ള സൂചിയും നല്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട് ഒരു മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളില് തലയോട്ടി തുറന്നു ഒരു സര്ജറി വേണം അതിനു നിങ്ങള് കോഴിക്കോട് മിംസില് പോകണം എന്നും പറഞ്ഞത് അനുസരിച്ച് അവിടെയെത്തി തല തുറന്നു കാലത്ത് തിയേറ്ററില് കയറിയ ഞങ്ങള് കാത്തിരുന്ന് വൈകുന്നേരം ഏഴു മണിക്കാണ് കണ്ണ് തുറന്നത് അല് ഹമ്ദുലില്ലഹ്. ഇന്ന് അവള് പരിപൂര്ണ്ണ ആരോഗ്യവതിയാണ് എല്ലാ ജോലികളും ചെയ്യുന്നു സ്വന്തമായി കാറോടിച്ചു പോകുന്നു ഇന്നേക്ക് രണ്ടു വര്ഷം തികയുന്നു. എല്ലാം കഴിഞ്ഞു അന്ന് ഡോക്ടറുടെ ഒരു ചോദ്യം ??... തലവേദനക്ക് നിങ്ങള് എന്തിനാ മിമ്സിലെ എമെര്ജന്സിയില് വന്നത് ??? എന്തെ ചെറിയ ക്ലീനിക്കില് കാണിക്കാതിരുന്നത് ?? തലവേധനക്ക് എന്തിനു സ്കാന് ചെയ്യാന് സംമ്മതിച്ചത് ??. ( ഇതിനുത്തരം അവസാനം വിവരിക്കാം ).
27/5/2015 രാത്രി 11:30 നു എന്റെ അളിയന് അഹമദ് പിള്ള ( പെങ്ങളുടെ ഭര്താവ്) 58 വയസ്സ് പെട്ടന് ഒരു ശ്വാസ തടസ്സം പോലെ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു എണീറ്റ് ഇരുന്നു ആശുപത്രിയില് പോകണം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു അടുത്തുള്ള ഒരു ഓട്ടോ പിടിച്ചു പെങ്ങളും കൂടെ കയറി നേരെ ചെന്നത് കൊട്ടക്കെലെ ചെറിയൊരു ക്ലീനിക്കില് സമയം 11:50 അവര് പരിശോദിച്ചു ഇ സി ജി എടുത്തു പെട്ടന്ന് അടുത്തുള്ള വലിയ ആശുപത്രിയില് കൊണ്ട് പോകാന് പറയുകയും എന്നെ വിളിക്കുകയും 12 മണിക്ക് ഞാന് വലിയ ആശുപത്രിയില് എത്തി ഡോക്ടര് അളിയനെ പരിശോദിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു ഹാര്ട്ട് അറ്റാക്ക് സംഭവിച്ചു പത്തു മിനിട്ട് മുന്പ് മരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു... മരിച്ച ആളുടെ സ്കാന് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ഡോക്ടര് എന്റെ കയ്യില് തന്നു അതിലേക്കു നോക്കി ഞാന് രണ്ടു കൊല്ലം മുന്പുള്ള എന്റെ അനുഭവം ഓര്ത്തു മരണ മുഖത്ത് നിന്ന് ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നതും ജീവിതം മരണത്തിലേക്ക് ചെന്നെത്തിയതും സമയത്തിന്റെ വിലയും ഓര്ത്തു പട്ടിണി സമയത്ത് രുചിയുള്ള ഭക്ഷണം ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബത്തിനു നല്കിയ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട പിള്ള അളിയനെ ഓര്ത്തു ഒരു പാട് കരഞ്ഞു ...
ഇത് വായിക്കുന്നവരോട് ഒരപേക്ഷ ...
ചെറിയ നെഞ്ചു വേദനയോ ശ്വാസ തടസ്സമോ വലിയ തലവേദനയോ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടാല് ഓര്ക്കുക എന്റെ രണ്ടായിരം രൂപ പോയി എന്നും എല്ലാ സംവിധാനങ്ങളും ഉള്ള വലിയ നല്ല ആശുപത്രിയില് എമെര്ജന്സി ആയി എത്തുക അവര് പറയുന്ന ടെസ്റ്റുകള് നടത്തുക അവസാനം 95 ശതമാനവും കേള്ക്കാം നീര്കട്ട് ആയിരുന്നു, ഭക്ഷണം ദഹിചിട്ടില്ല, അല്പം ആസ്മ യുണ്ട് സാരമില്ല എന്നല്ലാം കേള്ക്കാം, അപ്പോള് തോന്നും ഛെ രണ്ടായിരം പോയല്ലോ ഒരു ചെറിയ ക്ലീനിക് മതിയായിരുന്നു എന്നൊക്കെ.... പക്ഷെ ബാക്കിയുള്ള അഞ്ചു ശതമാനം ആളുകള് എന്നെപ്പോലെ വിജാരിക്കുന്നു ഞാന് ചെയ്തത് എത്ര നന്നായി ......
ഈ എളിയവന്റെ ചെറിയ അറിവും ചെറിയ പരിജയവും കൊണ്ട് എഴുതിയതാണ് കൂടുതല് അറിവുള്ളവര് ഇത് എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്തു എന്റെ പേര് നീക്കം ചെയ്തു മറ്റുള്ളവരിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുക എന്ന്

Mrs. Anitha gives life to five - Organs donated to Patients at MIMS and Medical College, Calicut
Two kidneys, two eyes and liver donated to patients at Medical College and MIMS Hospital, Calicut. Her husband Mr. Vinod and relatives signed the willingness to donate all her organs.

The Liver was transplanted to a 38 year old male from Palakkad in MIMS Hospital. He was under treatment of Dr. Anishkumar, Gastroenterology department at MIMS. The surgery was conducted by the liver transplant surgeons Dr. Sajeesh Sahadevan, Dr. Rajesh Nambiar, Dr. Rohit Ravindran and Dr. Seethalakshmy with the support of Anaesthetist Dr. Kishore K.
One kidney was transplanted to a 34 yr old female from Vadakara. She was under dialysis for last four years at MIMS. The kidney Transplant Surgery at MIMS was conducted by Urologists Dr. Harigovind P. Dr. Krishnamohan R and Dr Abhay Anand, Anaesthetists Dr. Rekha S, Nephrologists Dr. Sajith Narayanan, Dr.Feroz Aziz, Dr. Ismail NA and Dr. Benil Hafeeque.
Mrs. Anitha, wife of Mr. Vinod was walking on the road when a bike hit her on 11th of this month. She was returning from Ration shop at Mavinchottil, Kuruvangad to home after buying rice. She was taken to a nearby hospital due to head injury and later was taken to medical college.

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar to be the face of Aster Pharmacy; launches 150th outlet
