We have pleasure to inform you that Dr.Divya Pachat, MBBS, MD, PDF- Clinical Genetics (Christian Medical College,Vellore) has joined as Clinical Geneticist in the department of Medical Genetics. She comes with profound experience in clinical evaluation and management of patients with Genetic disorders. The Department will provide diagnostic and Management services for individuals or families with genetic disorders and aim at helping them to live and reproduce as normally as possible.
Before
joining MIMS, Dr.Divya Pachat was working with
Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.
She will be addressing disorders like:-
· Chromosomal abnormalities, which cause birth defects, intellectual
disability and/or reproductive problems.
· Single gene disorders such as muscular dystrophy, Huntington's
disease, cystic fibrosis, inborn errors of metabolism, inherited cardiac
conditions, skeletal and connective tissue disorders
· Familial cancer and cancer-prone syndromes such as inherited breast
or colorectal cancer and neurofibromatosis.
· Birth defects with a genetic component such as neural tube defects
and cleft lip and palate.
· In addition, individuals with birth defects and/or learning
disabilities/autism/ other multi-factorial disorders can be evaluated and
investigated for genetic factors.
