Here is
another success story of heart surgery in India. Cheers to dedicated doctors and staffs of MIMS who
successfully completed heart surgery for an Afghan baby with the assistance of DM
Foundation. Language and distance barriers fail here in front of devoted people
who took the initiative to fulfill this noble need.
Dr. Moopan's
Foundation (DM Foundation), an initiative of Dr. Azad Moopan and his family is
actively involved in Health Awareness Campaigns and give hands to many under privileged
population to meet their basic medical needs. Contribution towards making a healthy
society is actively carried out by this foundation. DM Foundation understands the basic health
needs of the underprivileged in the society regardless of where they are from and
which country they reside. The foundation takes keen interest in fulfilling the
needs of many northern states in India and many African countries that still
don’t have adequate resources for treatment.
Doctors and
staffs at MIMS are well known for performing successful cardiac surgery in India. This is the third
time MIMS along with DM Foundation is conducting heart surgery for people from Afghanistan.
Earlier this year in July 2014, a 16 year old girl, Rubeena underwent heart
surgery here at MIMS. Her family can’t thank enough the whole team and the
foundation and were running out of words when asked about their treatment experience
with doctors and people here.
MIMS takes
the credit of performing much heart surgery in India, giving life to many. It is really
painful to know that still there are places in the world who don’t have
sufficient facilities in their country, especially for cardiac diseases, which
is one among the deadly disease. The Afghan baby who underwent heart surgery
was all set in smiles with his dad. We wish DM Foundation continued success and
may their hands reach worldwide, rendering services for needy and
underprivileged.
